CLEANERS, VACUUM, ELECTRIC (COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
1. CLASSIFICATION
1.2 Classification. This commercial item description covers a 12 gallon capacity, vertical tank, wet and dry pick-up vacuum cleaner.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 Design and construction. The vacuum cleaner shall have a minimum 22-qaugestainlesssteel, upright tank with two rear rigid wheels and two front swivel casters mounted to the tank. The Wheels shall not less 9 inches in diameter. The wheels and casters shall have non-marking rubber or synthetic tires. The cleaner shall have the capability for dry or wet pick-up as well as for blowing without requiring special attachment. The cleaner shall come ready to operate, be simple in construction, be reliable in operation and be equipped with a conveniently located handle to facilitate cleaner movement. The cleaner shall have a minimum12-gallon recoverable capacity with drain valve. The cleaner shall be equipped with an automatic device to shut off the cleaner when the tank is filled to capacity. Nominal dimensions of the cleaner shall be 26 inches wide by 22 inches deep by 23 inches high.
